The primary aim of this composition was to create two distinct reductive compositions that featured a single object; one had to be designed in black and white that featured word(s) that communicated an aspect of my selected object; the other composition had to be designed in three solid colors but did not feature any text related to my object. In keeping with my interest in Green designs and technology, I selected the compact light bulb as my featured object. In the black and white composition, I contemplated the link between the word "Green" and compact light bulb design. I chose this word to illuminate the importance of Green lifestyles, and the increasing need for Green conscious design and technology. Finally, I decided to create a forest of compact light bulbs, as this spoke to my ideas of the need for sustained, alternative energy sources. I envision that both of these compositions can be a part of a media campaign that promotes Green lifestyles and innovations in Green technology. |
