" A font unaffected by the force of gravity and the weight of human history."
-Bruce Mau
I decided to use a quote that incorporated a collective "human experience" and word play. The focus was the phrase "human history," which is set in Helvetica font to contemporize my audience's experience. In my project, the words in the quote are affected by the force of gravity as illustrated; this is why they are falling off the word human history which signifies air as the word gravitates off the page. Additionally, I highlighted his phrase by making it the one prominent color in the piece: blue. In choosing this color, I wanted to pull from iconography and associations with this color. For example this color is calming and can produce a soporific effect. In order to complicate a viewer's experience, I then contrasted "human history" with a quote from Bruce Mau that spoke to an experience that is devoid of all human influences.
